Here we go!
In a nutshell I am vigorously returning to my swimming roots. I was untill 3 weeks ago an avid Triathlete, all distances Sprint too Iron Man. Then as the season turned to mountain biking I fractured my Patella (knee). 2008 is a distant being.
1. I want to swim a lake in my area (Lake Of The Ozarks) Dam 2 Dam, apr' 95 miles as the crow flys / 105 as the drunk crow flys. Ofcourse there is a goal to raise money for a charity (Shriners hospital for kids, my son went there STL). Is it possible? Is it too long a swim?
2. Any good training plans for this. It will be done over 9-10 days, probably looking at Sept-Oct so the temp of the lake is low enough as to not cook me.
3. Seriously any help will be appreciated. All will be welcome to join in solo or teams hey if you get it done quicker Cudos to you just do it, no cost but a donation to Shriners or a charity of your choice. I'm going to need help if I can ask for it here? If I can't whoops and sorry but i'd still love the training advice.
