Stomach acidity problem

Hi everybody Last month I finished my first open water swim of 15 km distance in 4hrs. and 30mins I have been swimming for 3 years with many breaks except last year with no breaks and with 3-4 training sessions a week 3 to 5 km per session, the month before the swim I added a 3 to 3 and half hour swim to my weekly training. In my 15 km swim I experienced harsh stomach acidity after 2 hours, here is some information: - drink water every half hour (half a liter or 16 oz). - eating one banana each hour, I haven’t practiced feeding before so it was not easy. - water temp was around 27 centigrade (80 Fahrenheit) air temp was around 36 centigrade (97 Fahrenheit). - the swim took place in a fresh water lake with crystal clear and very clean water. - some waves at the beginning and the end but nothing major. My guess is that something was wrong with my feedings or maybe the lack of feeding practice because a/m above I have no experience in feedings, or maybe something else. I would be thankful If anybody can help with some information about stomach acidity problems.
