Never mind - I googled it. Turns out that one of the lakes (Lake LBJ, oddly enough) is where that kid died recently of the brain amoeba. Yikes.

i have read up on that and it seems to be a warm (hot) water thing.
late october should be ok. it sucks that you share the same initials as the lake of death.:(

anyway, i am doing it. terry is too.
the idea of a five day stage race is too much to pass up.
