This year's swim will feature four Olympians: Amanda Beard, Rowdy Gaines, Margaret Hoelzer, and Misty Hyman. Competitive swimmers, swim coaches, and swim enthusiasts from throughout the world will join the Olympians on a course from Buck Island, a U.S. underwater coral reef park to The Buccaneer, a luxury resort on St Croix's east end.
I've done this swim 3 times, and can attest to how great it is. A beautiful location, great company, and lots of fun.
Perhaps the best thing is the snorkel trip the day before. Everyone goes to Buck Island, you spend time on the boat getting to know each other, and it's a terrific way to learn the course.
I highly recommend it--and my family and I wll be back again this year.
