Does anyone know of any OWS events around New York City. There are a few in the Hudson, but I would rather not swim in that river - I don't care how clean they claim it is. Anything on LI, in Jersey, not too far upstate, etc?

I'm not sure if you consider Brooklyn a "NYC area", but Cibbows is hosting their annual ocean one-miler on Sunday Aug 5 at Brighton Beach. I did it last year - very well organized, small group, nice people! :)

Thanks, very much. I do consider Brooklyn a "NYC area." Unfortunately I will be away that weekend, but I may look into Cibbows in general.
And I will check out the LMSC site as well.
