raining frequency for Sharkfest

I'm 59years old and getting ready for Sharkfest in June. I'm starting to develop some shoulder soreness from my efforts. I'm wondering if being a bit older that I might need more recovery between swims, I'm currently training every other day.

Thanks for the encouragement, My enthusiasm says train more but my body tells me three times a week is enough. I do about a 35 min mile in the 50 yrd pool and I'm sure I can do the distance now. I just don't want to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" by overtraining in this last month and going from soreness to injury. Ron, I hope we have a chance to meet at Sharkfest, after the swim we plan to have a dram of Scotch for strictly medicinal purpose, if you would like to join us you're very welcome. Brian
