Seeking a kayaker for 8/3 swim--NY/Long Island area

Hey all, I've never done a swim before where you need to get your own kayaker, so if I'm not going about this right, I hope you'll bear with me. I am planning to do the Great South Bay swim (site doesn't have instrux up yet but I expect it will soon--but here it is: www.greatsouthbayswim.com). If you are a kayaker or know of someone you can recommend who lives in the area, I'll be grateful if you can PM me. I'm also talking to a relative in the area who might be able to suggest someone. Thanks much!

I suggest that you go online and look up kayak clubs in the area and email them. The usual info is where/when, how long do you expect to take and that sort of thing. Make sure your kayaker can handle the conditions - e.g. you don't want a sit-on-top kayak for the open ocean. Good luck, LBJ
