I think that there is an 8 mile swim (not a race) in NJ on 3 June 2007 that I don't see mentioned in any calendar. Go to:www.sandyhookers.org/shtc.htm and click on the "Swim for Kids" link. It only has info for last year's date, so contact the organizer to make sure that it is going to happen this year.
This might be a good opportunity for someone who wants to try a longer swim without the pressure of a race.

I got an email from the swim director. The swim (remember, it's NOT a race) will take place this year on 3 June. The web site will have all details soon.
