New to this forum....
Just looking to get some advice on increasing my speed on my mile swim.
I swim ~2000 meters 3 times a week. I seem to have fallen into a very steady rythm in my work outs for the longest time, and really have no swim plan other than doing straight 2000m freestyle swim every time.

go to the workouts section and try some of them. Do interval training. (100s, 200s, pyramids). Learn some drills, especially distance per stroke. Have the lifeguard watch you swim and give you pointers on your technique, especially if they were a competitive swimmer. You can't see what you might be doing wrong. Join a coached workout group. You are already doing a decent workout, you'd fit right in...
