If my oldest sister didn't live in League City, I would live in Galveston. Unfortunately, I have to live far from her so that I can still love her. I've swam in Galveston Bay since the early 70s. It is much cleaner now than it was in the mif-70s to mid-80s.

You are right that it is much cleaner. I just remember in the early 90's playing football on the sand. You would fall, get up and be covered in tar. It was nasty. I love Galveston, great town with a really great history to it. I really wonder what it would be like if the hurricane in the early 1900's hadn't destroyed it. I guess we can't blame that one on Bush, but I am sure some Blog out there in cyberland has tried!
