I live in SD and enjoy open water swimming, but like the occassional lake swim in addition to the ocean. You know, stuff like less chop, warmer water. Are there any lake swims in socal? It seems like most of the lakes around here are closed to swimmers. Boo!

well some people like to swim in Misison Bay for warm and less chop. The "lakes" are all reservoirs and no they don't allow swimming in them. Oddly they allow PWCs.
