I used to swim with a long distance swimmer in Ft. Myers Florida in the 70s by the name of Paul Asmuth. I started swimming again and just linked up with this site and thought I would float it out here.
Last I knew Paul was working as an acountant or in a financial firm in SF.
He had quite a sucessful marathon swimming career in the mid eighties. He swam in our teams (Manatees) 2 x 1 mile relay swim a few years back. I recall he was living in the Sonoma county area. He's registered with Pacific Masters as an unattached swimmer, might be worth checking some open water results to see if he's swimming this season.
