I swam in the lake for the first time this season - about 20*C which is 68*F. It's a small deep lake fed by a mountain stream. My friends and I have a 1.5km route that can be broken up into 100m/200m/300 segments. It's beautiful; today we swam in soft rain and a light mist and savoured the cold clear lake taste after a winter of pool water... and this weekend I'm going to try the ocean
Which makes me wonder: where do other people swim?

Indoor pool - SCY. But it does have a couple of skylights and a whole row of windows on one side. The ceiling is vaulted - probably 30 feet high at the highest point - down to maybe 15 on the side. Structural timbers (wood) instead of steel. And we don't have the air quality issues that I read about here. Just a slight chlorine smell.
They do keep the water too warm by about 4 degrees.
