Advice on Chesapeake Bay swim

Any advice on navigation or strategy for the 4.4 bay swim? I have done races of 1.2 and 2.4 but nothing this long. #1 goal: to finish #2 goal :

    When you come out from the bridge spans, heading into the finish, realize that you have no small distance (maybe 400-600 yards, I forget) left to go. The first time I did it, I thought that the finish was quite close to the end of the bridge spans. WRONG. The good news is that it is protected from the current, so you don't have to fight that anymore, at least. -LBJ
