Wetsuit wisdom?

Hi, I am thinking of investing in a wetsuit. Any wisdom out there? What style is the best...long, short, sleeves, no sleeves. Where is the best place to find one? Does wearing a wetsuit significantly improve your time? Last year I did the 1 mile swim in the Chesapeake Bay. Most people had wetsuits. The water temperature was 72 degrees, and I was not cold at all even though I did not have a wetsuit. Any thoughts? Swimmy :)

I have a long wetsuit without sleeves. Personally, I prefer no sleeves because I like to have my arms free and it's less restrictive. I don't think sleeveless makes much difference in terms of buoyancy or faster swimming. If you're in MD, there is a good triathlon shop in Northern Virginia (Falls Chuch) that specializes in wetsuits. They usually have great deals on last year models or closeouts if you don't care about having the newest or best wetsuit. Anyway, the place is called TriBonzai if you want to check them out.
