I am coming to Florida for Short Course Nationals. I was wondering if there was any open water races at the same time as Nationals, May 22-25? At Nationals in Hawaii, there was a great open water race and I would love to participate in another race? Does anyone have any information on open water races near Ft. Lauderdale?

the open water swim in Deerfield Beach is part of a series sponsored by the ESM group. the website is www.familyfitnessweekend.com The triathlon draws more competitors than the open water. the swims are low key. Deerfield is a nice beach though. The ocean should be about 80 degrees by that time in May.
I am hoping that the timeline allows for me to do it and then be in Ft. Laud. for the 200 fly. You can enter the day of the race.
