I've been looking on line for events next year that are swims from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
I've noticed there are two major swims each year, Sharkefest and Centurions -- am I missing any?
Has anyone competed in either or both of these events? Have anything else to say about swimming from Alcatraz to Aquatic Park?
I've only been in one open water event -- the RCP Tiburon Mile last month.

I did the Alcatraz Sharkfest swim in 1998. The water was rough that day, so they rerouted the swim through the docks. I wore a wetsuit, but it was still very cold!
