I've been looking on line for events next year that are swims from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
I've noticed there are two major swims each year, Sharkefest and Centurions -- am I missing any?
Has anyone competed in either or both of these events? Have anything else to say about swimming from Alcatraz to Aquatic Park?
I've only been in one open water event -- the RCP Tiburon Mile last month.

I have done both the Sharkfest and Tiburon. Two very different events. Sharkfest has a great all around attmosphere and a nice venue for swimmers and spectators. Sharkfest is very organized and well run. Tiburon was very exciting but the venue/City of Tiburon is too small for this growing event. Tiburon is different in the Olympic class as well as College and age group swimmers that it attracts, as well as the $10,000
