I've been looking on line for events next year that are swims from Alcatraz to San Francisco.
I've noticed there are two major swims each year, Sharkefest and Centurions -- am I missing any?
Has anyone competed in either or both of these events? Have anything else to say about swimming from Alcatraz to Aquatic Park?
I've only been in one open water event -- the RCP Tiburon Mile last month.

You should contact The Dolphin Club or The Southend Rowing Club. They run most of the events, and know about all open water swimming events in and around the SF Bay Area. Nice people there too! Gorgeous historic wooden boats!
