Congratulations to Laura Hansen of University of Denver/Rocky Mountain Masters swim team for swimming England to France “English Channel Crossing” in 9 hours and 48 minutes on August 12, 2003. It appears to be the fastest crossing by a female this year. This is the 3rd member of the University of Denver Masters swim team that has completed this swim. Voni Oerman completed the channel last year and helped support Laura this year and in 1985 Eric Johnson completed the swim from France to England in record time. Not bad for a land locked swim team.
