Open water events in Colorado?

I'm fairly new to the Denver area, and was wondering about what open water races I can look forward to in Colorado. I'm currently working on building my distance back up (school has just been killing me, and I've slacked off on the swimming) and wanted to know when races were usually held, and what distances are used. I've found some info on the COMSA website, but the open water stuff seemed pretty limited. Any info is greatly appreciated!

For the past 12 years or so COMSA has had a permit to swim in a small lake at Chatfield State Park which is just southwest of the Denver metro area. The lake is known as the South Gravel Pond it’s about 900 meters across and located in the south end of the park. Usually we have been permitted about 3 workouts a week there. Last year COMSA ran races at Chatfield in June & September from 1 to 3 miles in length. Other openwater races in Colorado are the Wingshadow 10K Marathon swim done in Horsetooth reservoir at Ft. Collins. This year, the Wingshadow race is expected to be in mid July. In most years depending on drought conditions a race in Colorado Springs known as Josh & Johns is usually run in August with 1, 2 & 3 mile events. In addition some of us open water addicts try get on triathlon relays that occur all summer long. Finally most summers there are usually a few semi organized trips outside of the state for other races such as the Lake Tahoe relay or the La Jolla Roughwater swim. Keep checking the www.comsa.org for information and make sure you’re on the Comsa email list for event updates.
