English Channel

Congratulations to 41 year old, Florida Gold Coast Masters Swimmer John Ceraolo who became the first solo swimmer this year to swim across the English Channel. The water temp. was 59 degrees F. He completed the swim in 12 hours 57 minutes. John started competitive swimming in his 30's to train for triathlons and completed his 100th triathlon, many of them ironman distances, by the time he was 40. Thanks to John's coach Chris Jackson, Coral Springs Masters Swim Team and to Gail Rice his ocean training partner. Also, special thanks to Marcia CLeveland for hosting some cold water swims last month to prepare John for the cold.
