With some great breaststrokers swimming fast at Nationals and me desperately in need of better technique, I caught a few of them on video in the 50 and the 200. Watch and learn:
Ande Rasmussen & James Corbeau -- YouTube - Ande, 50 ***, Mesa Nationals
Jeff Commings -- YouTube - Jeff Commings, 50 ***, Mesa Nationals
Ed Moses -- YouTube - Ed Moses, 50 ***, Mesa Nationals
I'll post the 200 videos once I get them uploaded.

This is so fast - breaststroke is not supposed to be this fast.
Ed Moses demonstrates how a turn should be done. One hand touches the wall for the simple purpose of adhering to the letter of the law that both hands must touch simultaneously. As soon as his left fingertips touch he immediately pulls that arm back to initiate the turn. No wasted time at the wall. Jeff's ain't too shabby either!
Ed Moses takes just 5 strokes down and 7 back. Jeff goes with 7 & 9.
It's amazing how they just gobble up huge sections of the pool with each pull.
Very cool. Thanks for posting Patrick.
I didn't see Jeff's swim, but my buddy was in the same heat as Moses so I saw his. While his pull is strong and quick, it seemed to me that his kick was responsible for most of the pool gobbling. It was very quick, quite compact, and extremely effective.

Patrick, thanks for that. I see that I have much to work on.
