ARE you going?
What suit are you going to rock in your races? TIPS
One of the masters swimmers I train with went to Auburn,
this morning I asked him
"How do you get to Auburn?"
He said fly into Atlanta then drive 2 hours to Auburn.
He added if you do this, one thing you want to be aware of is
Atlanta is on Eastern Time & Auburn is on Central time
so when you drive from:
Atlanta to Auburn you subtract an hour &
Auburn to Atlanta you add an hour.
Allen- Congrats on the record. Probably very few people know how long you have worked and stuck with it for this moment. What 20 years???
Looks like it was a great race with Robert. Figured the 50 and 100 were out of reach but always felt the 200 was the one you could take. Congrats again on a great swim and I'll see you down the "old" swim road soon enough.
Sweetness. My only wish for the USMS videos is that they captured some of the whole races, particularly one like this that looks like a great race.
Elaine video'd the race. I was in the stands cheering with Ahelee and it was thrilling to watch! I'm so happy for Allen!

I just got home from Auburn and the first thing I did is turn my computer on and upload Allen's video, so I could post it here. Many of you already beat me to it in congratulating Allen, and, darn it Allen, you got on this thread before I could post this for you, but here it goes, anyway:
CONGRATULATIONS
KING FROG!!!
WORLD RECORD
HOLDER
M60-64
200m BREASTSTROKE!!!
:applaud: :cheerleader: :bliss:
Allen, like I told you a bunch of times already today, I am so PROUD of you! Congratulations from Bruce, too!! It was the highlight of our Nationals watching you break that record! And, the other highlight was you and Carol being right there at the starting blocks for all of my breaststroke races cheering me on. I appreciated that so much! You and Mrs. Frog are the greatest! Thanks for your great coaching, wonderful support, and friendship. Nationals would not be the same without you, so I really do hope you will reconsider and come on back to the east coast for SCY Nationals, in Greensboro. Forumites, please join me in my campaign to get King Frog and Mrs. Frog out to Greensboro! Do I hear a second on that motion??? :D
Now, for the video of King Frog's amazing performance:

:applaud::applaud::applaud: Great job, Jeff! I just watched the entire slide show from today and you did an AWESOME job! Thanks so much for getting such great shots of everybody from Anne Dunivin ("Anne with an E", our 95 year old teammate) to Roderick, on his 50 free. I was surprised to see you even got me in a breaststroke sequence and on the blocks before my 50 free. Thanks! Bruce shoots video of my races, however, I have never seen any still shots, so thanks for getting some during the meet. And, thanks for getting shots I would have liked to have gotten, however, Bruce had my camera up in the stands! You really did an outstanding job with your photography. :D
Hey, a special shout-out to George Park: I wore your Yingfa suit and really liked it. Peter McCoy liked his suit, too, so we got a shot of us with our suits. (See attached)
Great video, as usual. I love all the interviews. It was great to see Leslie interviewed, but my favorite part was Roderick Sewell. Very inspiring!
:applaud: Great job, Misty and Rob! They did a fantastic job with the interviews and were very inclusive. Every demographic was covered, from young to old, and every skill level and physical challenge. And, I can tell you from personal experience, Misty and Rob were both as friendly off camera as they were on. Misty was very friendly and accomodating when it came to photo requests and introducing a shy teammate (Marianne Countryman, you ROCK!!!) to her and Rob is one of the nicest guys I have ever met at Nationals. We had several great chats and he even gave me some breaststroke tips, after watching my 50 breaststroke race; a big surprise, because I didn't know he was watching! Thanks, Rob! :D
Fort, great interview and plug for the Forums ( ), and congratulations on your WR in the backstroke!
P.S. That's King Frog (Allen Stark) :applaud: walking by Misty and Rob at the end of Friday's (Day 3) video (in the green t-shirt) and me, in the black suit, standing up in the front row in the stands and trotting up the steps, behind the "Don't Mess With Texas" banner.
