ARE you going?
What suit are you going to rock in your races? TIPS
One of the masters swimmers I train with went to Auburn,
this morning I asked him
"How do you get to Auburn?"
He said fly into Atlanta then drive 2 hours to Auburn.
He added if you do this, one thing you want to be aware of is
Atlanta is on Eastern Time & Auburn is on Central time
so when you drive from:
Atlanta to Auburn you subtract an hour &
Auburn to Atlanta you add an hour.
Another good show! I love going to Nationals and haven't missed one since I started swimming in 2005 at age 59. Ttis time I scored 5 seconds and a third and I'm feeling mighty proud at this moment. But most of all I leave having witnessed amazing feats by others, including the elderly, the truly talented, and the totally courageous. I always depart a better person.
Also must report that Lumpy is completely recognizable in person. I know there were numerous regulars out there, but I only was able to meet Lump up close and personal. Leslie, I know you were there, but missed you this time. (met you in Boston).....great swims once again.
Anyway, once again I walk away with so many great memories, including the knowledge that what we do is not all about swimming. It's about character, hard work, and the desire to be the best that we can be. This is all about the USMS experience and I feel honored to share the experience with so many like minded people!
