Denison wins NCAA Division III Mens' Championship

Kenyon's incredible 30+ year NCAA Championship streak, longest in any sport, now over. Gregg Parini, former Kenyon sprinter, has coached Denison for the past 20+ years. He also coaches Denison's womens' team, which also broke Kenyon's 17 year stranglehold on the distaff NCAA Championships several years ago.

  • Denison had a 9 point lead before the 400 free relay. At the 300 mark of that relay, Kenyon was in first place and Denison was fourth, which would have won the meet for Kenyon. But Denison's anchor swimmer (a freshman!) passed Emory to win the meet for Denison and end Kenyon's streak. EPIC ANCHOR LEG.
