I want to see what Chad La Tourette can do in the 1500, especially after his great 1650 swim at NCAAs. I think it will be a long shot for him to be in medal contention in London, but who knows?
I'm looking for someone to share lodging at the Olympic trials in Omaha next tues. I just rented a 1 bedroom apt with a sofa bed/couch in living room. I would rent the sofabed for $35 a night. It's a pretty big apt and it has been verified by airbnb.com. Wifi, laundry, tv, kitchen. The hotels close to the venue(8miles) are going from$375-$200 a night.
There are 2star hotels outside of Omaha that are cheaper but you would need a car to get to the venue($85 a day for a economy car) and they kinda look like a serial killer might hideout there:) ha
I never thought the price gouging would be this bad .....
I'm a pacific masters coach attending the meet for the first time. Please send me an email at macoy99@me.com if your interested or know someone who's having the same trouble of finding somewherer reasonable to sleep:)
Thanks

Here’s hoping that one of more of you have the swims of your lives and are not able to make Masters Nationals, because you need to stay with the USA Olympic Team. I’m sure we can work a deal to reimburse you for your Masters Nationals entry fee.
What about reimbursement for the loss of job as well when you tell your employer that you have to train with the team? Some jobs may make a special allowance, but unpaid. And lots of jobs will give you the choice: swim, or job.
And lots of jobs will give you the choice: swim, or job.
If the choice is between swimming at the Olympics and keeping your job then swimming at the Olympics is an easy choice. You can get another job.
Lochte is on the heat sheet for the 400 free. But not the 100 ***. So he did scratch the 100 ***, but elected not to scratch the 400 free. Hmmm.
That's because the 400 Free is wayyyyyyyyy better than the 100 ***!
DUH!!!!!! :D
