Most off the results I get are from Ande's posts (thanks). Not only do I not have a TV, but to view online requires a PW from my provider which is locked out. The only viewing I've done was at (daresay) work. You're welcome It's nice to know there's one person who appreciates my efforts.

Wow! That means Janet Evans is now off the American Record books. This was the last to go down of those great records. i put her 50 splits for the 800 into the attached spreadsheet (acutally developed this spreadsheet for 1650 splits and tweaked it for the 800 - don't pay attention to the splits/analysis beyond 800). Her splits for 100-200-400-500 are shown, and at the bottom of these colums the average splits for each distance are shown in blue. Her cumualtive times and the variances from average are on the right side of the spreadsheet with spits under average in black and the splits above average in red. She didn't back end this race at all and took the first 250 out faster than average, then dropped off her average pace for the balance of the race until the final 50m.

Thanks! You guys might be surprised to hear that I haven't actually seen many of the races... That is surprising. Some people like to broadcast what they are doing in the interwebs, and depending on the time they do, it might coincide with something you might be interested in watching. :2cents:

More on this... swimnews.com/.../9690 Wow. I counted 3 kicks before the arms were engaged and then another kick during the pulldown. They basically start dolphin kicking before they hit the water. Interesting interpretation of the rule.
