2012 Olympics: Swimming

Did anyone else have a difficult time today trying to watch the live streaming feed? During the prelims (very early this morning) it crashed Firefox every time the feed switched from the swimming coverage to a commercial break. This afternoon it locked up so many times that we missed most of several of the finals. Yep, Firefox froze for me, too, right when the streaming should have started. I didn't have the patience to fight with it, so I just gave up.

Well, that was almost a disaster for phelps.

Just another reason to wait for NBC's delayed coverage on tv at night. :) Even though I have to wait all the way till 8:00 PST!! :bitching: It's 9:50 here and they have shown one race. So yeah.

So I've been looking into this whole "Live Coverage" thing that NBC is doing, however you have to have some kind of cable or satellite TV provider. Does anyone have any idea on what to do if you have neither?

I need to get Shanteau's jammer from his breaststroke semi-finals, if it is not 400 bucks.

After waiting forever for the Pacific Coast prime time I decided at 10:30 I'd record it and watch the rest tomorrow.NBC is even worse than in 2008 and they were bad then.I understand they want to spread the swimming out so people will watch the whole show and I like the gymnastics and beach volleyball.NBC does a good job when they are showing sports.Rowdy was more insightful than usual and I was enjoying him.I'm even OK with the personal interest stuff if it is real information about real athletes,but there was too much fluff like how many tweets there were about the Queen skydiving.As my wife said"1500 hours of sport and they show us this."How do you make the greatest spectacle in sport boring? Ask NBC.
