  • I think giving up million of dollars just to swim in college is a little absurd, too. With these things you need to strike when the iron is hot and it's sizzling right now. +1. Missy has expressed her reasons for wanting to swim in college and I understand her need and desire to be part of a team. But, if she turns pro, she will still have that aspect of swimming to enjoy. She even said herself how great the atmosphere was when Team USA trained together after trials. I would think that positive atmosphere would carry over into the future, as well; especially since she has great relationships already established with her pro teammates. If she turns pro, not only would she be set for life; her parents would be, as well. How nice of a payback would that be for all they did to get her to where she is now? They don't expect it and only want her to do what would make her happy, but I'll bet she is just as happy of a person as a pro as she would be a collegiate swimmer. With her maturity, intelligence, level head, talent, personality, and beauty, I can't imagine her being unhappy no matter what she chooses to do! She could always go to college later and study whatever her heart desires. I hope she goes for it! :cheerleader:
