2012 Olympics: Swimming

Why in the world would a diver wear a jammer? To me that would look ridiculous. Swimmers only wear jammers due to speed. I'll bet you virtually none of the male swimmers at the Olympics would be caught dead in a jammer during a training session. Divers, OTOH, aren't concerned about speed and they certainly don't want to wear something that's going to inhibit their flexibility in any way. Well, perhaps not jammers, but I didn't tune into the broadcast to look at plumbers' cracks. And, if jammers help swimmers get through the water more efficiently, I suspect they might help divers enter with less splash as well. Skip
