2012 Olympics: Swimming

The first 100 backstroke semifinal was scheduled to start at 20:28 and the 4x100m free relay was scheduled for 21:00. Grevers was in the second semifinal so he would have had less than 30 minutes to recover. It should be noted that Grevers only had about 40 minutes in between his prelim swims, so it's not like this is out of the blue. It's also likely he was not going all out in the prelims or semis of the back, but I guess we'll find out soon enough! Oh and .2 turns into .3 or .4 because he wouldn't have had a safe start at night. More importantly, Lochte simply didn't earn the spot based on any 100 free he has done in the last year.
