I am moving to Chandler, AZ later this month. My home is one one mile from the West Chandler Aquatics Center. Is there a masters team that trains at that location. I was a competitive swimmer in college, and I am looking for a team that has people that swim in meets. Are there any other teams in Chandler?
Tim has made good suggestions. If I lived in the southern-ish part of the Phoenix Metro area, I'd personally try to train as much as possible with Mesa Aquatic Club / Paul & Laura Smith at the Kino pool. You'll get a great workout and Paul/Laura certainly promote competing.

There are three main options in the greater Phoenix area for competitive masters teams: Phoenix Swim Club, Mesa Aquatics, and Sun Devil Masters. SDM is closest to you, but none are too far. Details on their various websites. MAC is hosting masters nationals this spring, FYI. There's no masters swimming at that West Chandler pool, as far as I know.

The West Chandler Aquatics center is only open to the public during the summer season (around mid-May through mid-August). There may be some occasional meets or other events at it during other times of the year.
Chandler uses mainly 2 pools for year-round activity (and kind of a 3rd)...
* Hamilton Aquatic Center, AZ Ave & Ocotillo, (has morning lap swim), and used by Hamilton High School and kids groups
* Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center, Riggs Rd near Val Vista, (next to Basha high school, evening lap swim), used by Basha High school and kids groups
* The (old) Chandler High School, AZ Ave & Chandler Blvd, has an incredible 50m pool that was refurbished about 5 years ago, used mostly just for the high school.
I also live in Chandler, and have swum with the Sun Devil Masters as well as Mesa Aquatics Masters (and very briefly years ago with Phoenix Swim Club). All are good groups, both have positives and negatives, depending on what you want out of a program, the facility, and the coaching staff. I think the bigger question for you is, where will you be working? If you want to pick a team, you may want something convenient to both home + work.
For a while there was a small masters group that swam at the old Chandler High School, and I mean very small, like 8 people. If you're interested, I'll try to ping the coach and see if it is still around.
Currently, I swim solo at various gym pools (a couple of 24 Hour Fitness locations) and city pools (both in Chandler and Scottsdale), and it works well for me.
I really like Mark Rankin and the crew at Phoenix Swim Club as well. (It's the furthest option from Chandler, though.)Absolutely. We actually have multiple great options in the Phoenix area -- the Sun Devil Masters program at both Cactus (where I train) and ASU are great -- but many of them are far from Chandler.
Hey, depending upon your desire to commute, Jim Stites' program at the U of A in Tucson rocks, as well!

Agreed. Paul and Laura are awesome.

Forgot to add, but there are many small masters and tri groups spread around the area. Near you, the closest is probably at the Tempe Y, near Rural and Elliot, or possibly the one that uses McClintock high school. Some are year-round, some only summer or non-summer. At the Chandler pools I mentioned above, there's a couple TRI groups who get together informally and will do sets together (lifeguards will time me if I ask).

I was curious, so I contacted the coach of the Chandler group, and yes they still swim at the (old) Chandler High school, Mon-Fri 5:30 to 6:30am. I'll probably try it out a couple times next week and post workout/thoughts in my blog.
