Swimming And Running...

Just curious on what your opinion is on running during swim season. I had a coach one time tell me that it did more harm than good to run while training for swim because it reversed what you do in the water. Have found no evidence of this...

    Earlier in this season I wasn't able to swim for one month and a half. During this period of time I decided that I would run in order to minimize the loss of fitness. Although I was a bit skeptical that this would work, when I came back in the water I felt GREAT and actually dropped time in the 100 breaststroke a couple of weeks later... I guess I should say that I didn't just run for long periods of time... I also did a lot of HIIT and Tabata work.
