How many meets do you swim a year/season ?

8-10. It varies from year to year.

This is my first year swimming at meets. By the end of the season I will have done seven.

Typically 2 SCY meets,3 LCM meets including Nats,1-2 SCM.

O K Be real - how many meets do you really swim a year/ season ? Including state & national meets ? I love to race, and will travel to the nearby LMSC's to do it, so my numbers may be a little high. Last year (Sept. '09-Aug '10) I did 10 :banana: meets, 6 SCY, 2 SCM, & 2 LCM. Of all of these meets, only 4 were in my own LMSC. I would have had 11 but I couldn't make it do to the freeway to Oregon closed for severe freezing rain :chillpill::censor: in December. :badday:

in 2010, I swam 9 meets. :bouncing:

8 meets in 2010 and 9 meets in 2009 (2 were USAS meets). 3-4 each year were multi-day meets.

2 scy (1 mini-meet and NE Champs @ Harvard) 2 scm (1 mini meet and NE Champs @ BU) 2 LCM (Bay State Games and NE Champs @ Middlebury) 1 open water 2-miler 1 sprint triathlon

I joined USMS, in February, and competed in 6 meets this year: 4SCY (Including Nationals, even though I didn't qualify...) 1LCM 1SCM My SCM meet was this past Saturday, at Georgia Tech, home of USMS 2010 Nationals. :D Unfortunately, I strained an adductor muscle during a breaststroke sprint off the blocks, so I had a :badday: meet. By the 200 breaststroke, I was :toohurt: and had to scratch. :whiteflag: (Oh well; it hasn't kept me out of the pool! And, I should be back to kicking breaststroke by next week. :bliss:)

Let's see... my meets for 2010, my second competitive season: Dec: 1 (2-day) Nov: 1 (2-day) Oct: 1 (2-day) Sep: 0 Aug: 0 Jul: 1 (2-day) Jun: 1 (2-day) May: 1 (1 day) Apr: 2 (1 day and 3-day) Mar: 3 (all 1 day) Feb: 1 (1 day) Jan: 0 12 meets! All of them were SCY, except for the June one (LCM). The last six have all been USAS.
