  • Welcome once again to Piano Digest, where I break down some 200 fly splits at SCY Nats. 2 years ago forumites showed how it's done, bucking the overall trend of terrible splitting. Last year... well... it was a forumite pianostorm, absolute bloodbath. This year was better though. Barryf once again displayed his rare ability to even- or negative-split the 200 fly. Several other forumites posted good-to-excellent splits. Oz may have carried a piano, but he did win his age group. :applaud: There were several other age group winners across both genders who pushed through some pain for their USMS NATIONAL CHAMPION patch. That leaves us with James, who prefers to swim the 200 fly the way that he does, so who are we to argue? James' teammate Peony Munger (who was recently interviewed by The Morning Swim Show) posted an amazing -6.04 split. She's the anti-James, so it's good that they both swim in the same pool at the same time, keeping the universe in balance. :agree: 1 Munger, Peony 76 HMS 6:22.48 6:05.18 -6.04 1:28.74 3:05.61 (1:36.87) 4:36.81 (1:31.20) 6:05.18 (1:28.37) 5 Fasbender, Barry A 73 STAN 3:28.03 3:26.54 -0.38 47.68 1:43.46 (55.78) 2:39.52 (56.06) 3:26.54 (47.02) 7 Laughlin, Terry 60 ADMS 3:09.30 3:09.28 4.04 43.06 1:32.62 (49.56) 2:20.07 (47.45) 3:09.28 (49.21) 1 Von Der Lippe, Susan 45 CMS 2:07.50 2:10.48 5.24 29.29 1:02.62 (33.33) 1:36.65 (34.03) 2:10.48 (33.83) 3 Stevenson, Chris L 46 VMST 1:57.08 1:57.21 5.31 26.62 55.95 (29.33) 1:26.07 (30.12) 1:57.21 (31.14) 3 Brundage, Patrick W 44 ARIZ 2:01.19 2:01.58 6.04 27.27 57.77 (30.50) 1:27.77 (30.00) 2:01.58 (33.81) 12 Nelson, Kirk 40 PNA 2:06.72 2:12.67 6.11 29.51 1:03.28 (33.77) 1:37.82 (34.54) 2:12.67 (34.85) 1 Clemmons, Jim 61 MAM 2:19.50 2:20.04 6.22 31.37 1:06.91 (35.54) 1:43.22 (36.31) 2:20.04 (36.82) 9 Colburn, Christopher 39 ABM 2:23.17 2:17.68 6.58 31.02 1:05.55 (34.53) 1:41.32 (35.77) 2:17.68 (36.36) 8 Adams, James A 33 HMS 2:04.71 2:07.12 12.74 26.52 57.19 (30.67) 1:30.33 (33.14) 2:07.12 (36.79) 1 Osborne, Oz 65 ELG 3:22.63 3:20.93 14.23 42.94 1:33.35 (50.41) 2:27.30 (53.95) 3:20.93 (53.63)
