In Illinois we are allowed to do 11 event over the state time frame with one distance event on thur/fri with 5 events each day on sat & sun.
What does your state allow & what do you enter?
A guy from ILL says he walked out when he found out that it would be 2 hours b4 he swam again. Have you ever done this ?
The first time I went to the SPMA SCM meet in Long Beach I got there at 8:00 expecting a regular meet instead of a 600 swimmer colossus. The time line listed my first event at 2:30,so I went back to my hotel and lay down for a couple of hours, got lunch ,and then went back to the pool.

It was well over 100 degrees on two of the days at 2008 LCM Nats. So although there were races I wanted to see in between my events, I went back to my hotel and recovered in the air conditioning.
Yeah, naps are a choice, but at the pool with only 1 hour or so between events won't allow leaving. Still at 6:30 pm the day of the meet a 400 im is still a long race with the 500 at 7:30 am the next day!
