I recently started using a nose clip ... I know, they look funny, but for years I would always get really congested after a workout and this has solved that problem.
But it has created a new problem ... now when I roll to breath (freestyle), water somehow flows/slides down my face and into my mouth during the split second that the side of my face is above water. It isn't a lot of water, but it is enough to be annoying. I have to spit out the little bit of water while I'm exhaling for the next breath. I think with the nose clip pinching my nose, there is a more direct path for the water to flow into my mouth.
Even though I don't think you are supposed to tilt your head very much when breathing, I have tried different head tilts to see if that keeps the water from flowing in, but this didn't help.
Anyone have any suggestions or experienced this?
Lets see no trough means you need to swim faster - turn your head to a different angle .
It's water - force it out - it's OK to do that.
Thats why we have lips.
All kidding aside, we all do this to some extent.
