Goggles are hard to find that fit one's face. It will be interesting to know how many different goggles one uses. Maybe some are for lap swim, some are for open water, some are for race? Some people do seem to have a lot of goggles, from the "what is in your swim bag" thread, and I wonder if all those goggles are the same or different?
Why not use comfortable goggles for all occasions, since the speed effect from the shape of the goggles is negligible?
I like the Sweedes for racing, they're the only ones that consistently stay on when I dive in. I was using them for practice, but then I met with my optometrist who convinced me to stop swimming with my contact lenses in because of the risk of bacteria getting behind the lenses. (I still compete with lenses, because I hate walking blind around the pool deck and carrying my glasses to the starting block.)
So I switched back to prescription. I used to have a pair of TYR femme 'scripts, and I LOVED THEM. But I gave them away in a moment of foolishness. I can't find them anywhere now, and the regular TYR prescription goggles are hurting like the devil after 1000 yards or so. I think I'll try the Speedo 'scripts, because I used the same mirrored kind for lake swimming this summer, and they were comfy.
So my plea here is for Sweedes to make a prescrition lens. OMG what a great day that would be. :)
