I am planning on going for a goal of 239,000 yards for the month of February 2011. Does anyone have some good training tips for working up to this amount over the next 5 months. I have a strong base and swim at least 5 days a week. I train alone so I just don't know what types of workouts would help me. Any advice anyone can give would be great!!!
Thanks!!

Tom (tjrpatt) on the blogging section does roughly 10k per day for at least 5 or 6 days a week. In the winter he regularly does double workouts though. For masters with kids, that could be too much time in the pool.
Hats off to anyone who aspires to rack up that kind of yardage. That's what most college athletes log in.
Is that laps or lengths? (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
When people swim a 500, they ask for volunteers to help them with the plastic "lap" counters. Not length counters. :)
