Yep, you're right. Strange though because she's in shape to do a great 100 as she did go 1:06 in the morning prelims at Nationals (ranked 4th in the world this year). She will forego any opportunity to race it at worlds now as only swims done in the finals are considered for qualification. She may be good enough to do well in the 50/100 free at Pan Pacs but next year against the Steffens, Halsalls, Kromiwidjojos, Alshammars etc her chances are slimmer for a medal in the freestyles than in the 100 ***. She will however be eligible to be selected for the 50 *** by virtue of the fact she's likely already secured her spot on the Worlds squad by way of the relay. I didn't realize that she was having problems with the jitters. Interestingly though Stephanie Rice is on the start lists for the 400 IM. I thought she was limiting her races to the sprint flys and the the 100 free due to a persistent shoulder injury. So if she doesn't scratch that race then she's probably feeling a bit better? I wonder what happened to Liu Zige?
  • wow phelps swam a lead off 48.13 in the 4x100 free relay

Watched with interest the 1500 and 800, the winner looked good in both races. Clean stroke all the way to the end of each race.:canada::canada::canada: He did do lots of bilateral breathing.
