LCM / 2010 approved Tech Suits vs Full Body Rubber Suits

LCM / 2010 Approved Tech Suits vs Full Body Rubber Suits 2010 FINA Approved 2010 Approved Womens Tech Suits 2010 Approved Mens Tech Suits LCM season has begun and our meets are quickly approaching here's how I split the 200 IM at the Austin Sr Cir Meet 2010 wearing a B70 NeroTX jammer 200 IM 29.42 36.17 1:05.59 40.54 1:46.13 32.32 2:18.45 here's how I split my 200 at the 2009 Austin Sr Cir Meet wearing a Full body Rocket Science suit 30.13 37.91 1:08.04 42.16 1:50.20 31.04 2:21.24 I think LCM will have bigger performance differences than SCM or SCY because we have to swim more, there's half as many turns and gliding. It's possible to swim faster in a permeable suit than a full body rubber tech suit but it takes way more effort. My LCM plan was to 1) get in way better shape by training harder faster and further more times a week 2) lose weight, 3) focus on a few events & 4) improve my kick What's yours?

  • Yep, a suit won't save a season. It does make sense to race in a fast affordable suit but preparing for your races is what is most critical. Full body suits are faster than jammers. It is possible to improve times you did in a full body, it's just a lot of work. How bad do you want to be good? I'm not completely sure you're getting the point of this thread...maybe I'm wrong...
