I often see some swimmers doing this kind of sign: curling back middle and ring fingers and extend pinkie, index and thumb. For example, Ryan Lochte's right hand in the left background picture on http://twitter.com/ryanlochte. What does it mean actually? Thanks!
Sometimes - when you just have to rock too hard, you put your fists together and just hold out your pinkies - because its too much rock for one hand!
Also - it means I Love You. Your pinky is the "I" the index finger and the thumb is an "L" and the index finger and the pinky is a "Y"
In any case, everyone has their own interpretation. I for one would vouch on the rock symbol, only because of the context its usually used.
Ryan never has his thumb out for the "L" so in his case, it's not the "I love you" from sign language.
