Rats on Mesa, as I would love to see you again but it sounds like you have the right priorities.:)
I remember well how hot it was. So far, all my meets at that pool have been hotter than blazes or freezing. I did my best ever 50 meter free when it was *so* cold and all I was thinking about was going as fast as possible so that I could do a quick cooldown and then get to the hot tub.
Glad you got a medal for that sprint, quick change and swim. You totally deserved it.

The fastest 50 free I've had so far was in an outdoor pool with some serious hair balls. So big that I swam super fast to get away from them. I don't wish to repeat that any time soon.
