Trouble with a saline pool

I'm getting periodic sinus infections, and it is associated with my use of a saline pool. I think it may be because the pool has lower chlorine levels. I never had this trouble with the standard chlorine pool. Summer can be very difficult for pool maintainers, but I'm curious whether others have had trouble with a low-chlorine, salt-water pools (if they happen to use one). There could be some other cause, of course.

I never had this trouble with the standard chlorine pool. i had frequent sinus infections for years. chlorinated water was certainly an irritant, but the cause of infection was poor drainage due to a deviated septum among other things. got them fixed... seems to be a non issue now, and i can breathe through both nostrils. with a nose like mine, it was a crime not to.

Ok thanks for the information. It could very well be my nose shape, I can't avoid getting some water into my sinuses. I also think it could be because in a saline pool, I get lazy about keeping water out of my sinuses (it's isotonic, and doesn't hurt at all). Anyways, the infection is clearing up (sinus irrigation ftw), but I'll invest in a nose clip as others have done.
