I came up with what I think is a FUN idea for a t-shirt! Check out my thread, "You know you're hooked on swimming when..." (Sorry, I don't know how to insert the link to that tread here). I think we should have a shirt with the USMS logo (and whatever else) on the front, then on the back:

Under that, it could list the top 10 of the answers that have been included on the thread. I'm thinking it would be best to list the more general ones that would be appropriate for both the guys and the gals; nothing so specific that it only pertains to the person who wrote it.

Here are my favorites (in no particular order) from that thread. I will admit bias; I'm including a few of my own in the mix. :D

...when in your dreams, you are doing sets.
...you run into a teammate of the opposite sex in town and you say, "I almost didn't recognize you with your clothes on.", and your spouse doens't even bat an eyelash.
...you see your teammate in town and almost don't recognize them, because you can see their hair and they don't have a cap on or wet hair.
...when you pick up a $140 speeding ticket at 5am, because you're so excited to get to the pool (I shortened this one just a tad).
...you cancel a meeting at work, because you have some (ahem) "pressing business" to take care of.
...spend too much time on the USMS.org/forums catching up.
...all your vacation time is spent at meets.
...use words like SDK or DPS or LTB and the person you're talking to has a clue.
...dream of swimming with dolphins or being a dolphin.
...spend more time shopping for suits than clothes.
...sneak peeks at the USMS forums while you're at work, because you don't want to miss out on what's happening with the forumites.
WORTHY OF A T-SHIRT? WHICH ONES-SHOULD WE PICK 10 OF THEM? ANY OTHERS, INSTEAD?
P.S. My idea for the rest of the shirt: Have the shirt royal blue with the printing in white on the back (no iron-on letters!). For the front have in white letters centered at the top:

Ande, Alison (SwimShark) is working on the design and Michael (bzaks1424) was the one who started the U.S. Masters Logo T-Shirt thread in the NSR discussions section, so I think he will follow through with getting the shirts ordered. Stay tuned... I'll keep everybody posted. Alison gave Michael contact info. for getting the shirts done by Cafe Press, who did the "GO THE DISTANCE" shirts which have proven to be good quality.
How cool would it be if we showed up at the same meet, put together some mixed medley relay teams, and wore our shirts to the starting blocks, removing them just before it was time to hit the water? :cool:

Hey Ande! Welcome to my thread!! When I started it, I was hoping and waiting, hoping and waiting, then hoping and waiting more for your post. You didn't disappoint me! And, your post rocks!! :applaud:
What do you (and everybody elses on this thread) think of having a USMS t-shirt that has the logo on the front and the best of this thread listed on the back? If any of USMS' partners are out there reading this, what do you think of adding something like that to your product line? I'll buy a t-shirt! :D
