1. You open the door to the pool and get that first whiff of chlorine and think to yourself, "I love the smell of chlorine in the morning!"
2. Your new issue of Swimmer Magazine arrives :bliss: and you immediately sit down and read it cover to cover (including the ads!). But, then, the realization sets in that now you have to wait two months until the NEXT issue arrives.
3. You find yourself counting strokes instead of sheep to fall asleep at night. Then, just when you're about to fall asleep, instead of your leg twitching a little bit, it does a full whip kick :afraid:, and you ride the glide to slumberland... :bed:
Now it's your turn...

When you pick up a $140 speeding ticket (your first driving infraction in 15 years) at 5 a.m. because you're so excited to get to the pool on the first day of the outdoor swimming season.
Ha, I did that too few years ago, I was actually rushing home after a 5AM practice, so I could get ready and get to work, I was in the drivers seat in a wet swimsuit, wrapped in a towel, I may have head a towel on my head too... I wonder what the cop was thinking.. :afraid:
Yes.. and who did you meet?
I survived the 50 *** and 100 back! :D
I did REALLY WELL (for me) in the 100 Free
I was disappointed in my 50 free time.
I did decently in my 50 back.
I met MPohlmann! Only for a second though. I did not get a chance to meet wookiee, but I'm sure I saw him. I also met my new surrogate coach (USMS Vice President of Community Services) Nadine Day!
I'll have a blog posted tomorrow or Tuesday with a full review of everything! *Pinky Promise*

When you drive a half hour to practice with an awesome practice group
When you schedule hair color appointments around practice
When you've tried nearly every anti-chlorine hair product available
When you know where all of the pools are in the vicinity when your practice group isn't practicing or between seasons.
When you use sham wows instead of towels
I survived the 50 *** and 100 back! :D

Congrats! Sounds like a successful meet.
You go to the indoor pool on July 3rd - knowing the outdoor pool will be packed (including the lap lanes).
You sit in the (empty) hot tub for 10 minutes because you know it will help you "warm up."
You do a fun 90-minute, 3,900 yd workout and realize, as you are getting out of the pool, that there are more lifeguards (4) than there are swimmers (3) in the entire complex (3 pools).
You then sit outside on the sundeck for 45 minutes knowing that it will help you "warm down" and, as you are leaving, realize that you are the only one out there.
You repeat, several times, aloud to yourself on the way home - "what a great day!!!"
Do you play with a kickboard and tennis ball?
Actually - foursquare is a new social networking tool: You "check in" to places and it allows your friends to know what you're up to at any given point.
