1. You open the door to the pool and get that first whiff of chlorine and think to yourself, "I love the smell of chlorine in the morning!"
2. Your new issue of Swimmer Magazine arrives :bliss: and you immediately sit down and read it cover to cover (including the ads!). But, then, the realization sets in that now you have to wait two months until the NEXT issue arrives.
3. You find yourself counting strokes instead of sheep to fall asleep at night. Then, just when you're about to fall asleep, instead of your leg twitching a little bit, it does a full whip kick :afraid:, and you ride the glide to slumberland... :bed:
Now it's your turn...
You go to the indoor pool on July 3rd - knowing the outdoor pool will be packed (including the lap lanes).
You sit in the (empty) hot tub for 10 minutes because you know it will help you "warm up."
You do a fun 90-minute, 3,900 yd workout and realize, as you are getting out of the pool, that there are more lifeguards (4) than there are swimmers (3) in the entire complex (3 pools).
You then sit outside on the sundeck for 45 minutes knowing that it will help you "warm down" and, as you are leaving, realize that you are the only one out there.
You repeat, several times, aloud to yourself on the way home - "what a great day!!!"
