You KNOW you're hooked on swimming when...

1. You open the door to the pool and get that first whiff of chlorine and think to yourself, "I love the smell of chlorine in the morning!" 2. Your new issue of Swimmer Magazine arrives :bliss: and you immediately sit down and read it cover to cover (including the ads!). But, then, the realization sets in that now you have to wait two months until the NEXT issue arrives. 3. You find yourself counting strokes instead of sheep to fall asleep at night. Then, just when you're about to fall asleep, instead of your leg twitching a little bit, it does a full whip kick :afraid:, and you ride the glide to slumberland... :bed: Now it's your turn...
  • You wake every morning in pain- shoulders, feet, ankles, pop two Aleve and can't wait for practice.
  • Any good news yet, Rykno? Good luck to you- and, especially, your wife! :agree: Yeap, thanks for asking. A little girl. • You don't know how to behave when you get in the pool to have "fun" or as a social activity. Amen to that!

All your friends know not to bother you after 1030 each night because you have morning practice. You have 7 pairs of goggles and only 2 of them fully work. You are relutant to throw out old suits saving them for "drag" The most enjoyable Saturday ever begins with a 8-10am swim followed by breakfast with your swimming buddies The first thing you think of when planning for vacation is your swimming schedule. That thought alone makes you a bit reluctant to go. (You have also swam with teams or in pools across the country for this very reason) You have a line of suits and towels hanging in your room drying. You have bleeched the underside of your hair blond and it is short and gets easily tangeled. The hairdresser always wants to know what you did to it. Swimming just 3,500 meters sounds fun! :) You don't know how to behave when you get in the pool to have "fun" or as a social activitiy. :)

You don't know how to behave when you get in the pool to have "fun" or as a social activitiy. :) :applaud: +1 Also when you realise that despite having any number of endurance/competition suits in various stages of worn-outness, you actually have no decent leisure suit - ie one that you would actually want to be seen wearing out of the water!
