1. You open the door to the pool and get that first whiff of chlorine and think to yourself, "I love the smell of chlorine in the morning!"
2. Your new issue of Swimmer Magazine arrives :bliss: and you immediately sit down and read it cover to cover (including the ads!). But, then, the realization sets in that now you have to wait two months until the NEXT issue arrives.
3. You find yourself counting strokes instead of sheep to fall asleep at night. Then, just when you're about to fall asleep, instead of your leg twitching a little bit, it does a full whip kick :afraid:, and you ride the glide to slumberland... :bed:
Now it's your turn...

I have the recurring dream about swimming in the air. In the dream I somehow get myself into "the zone" where it's possible. My stroke is usually breaststroke pull w/ dolphin kick, sometimes it's pure fly. Usually I fly around tree-top height and it is very empowering even though I am not at bird or airplane speeds. Then, I slip from the zone and gradually lose altitude and land, then can't figure out how to fly again for a while. Another variation is just where I have a very impressive vertical leap which I have to delicately hone into the zone by starting with gentle bounces then gradually increasing power. Flying always involves finesse not brute strength.
A few times I've had the shallow water dream. I usually end up scrambling on all fours across the pool but at least I got to float. In one shallow water dream, I finished a 50 free in 12 seconds. Got out of the pool and people were staring at me. They said I had just smashed a world record. Pretty clear that was just a dream. :)
